Stars On Ice: Artists' Reactions to Political Messaging
In recent events, several artists have expressed their discontent over the unauthorized use of their music in political contexts, particularly by the Trump Administration. Pop singer Sabrina Carpenter publicly condemned a video featuring ICE agents that incorporated her song, labeling it "evil and disgusting" and distancing herself from the administration's agenda. The White House responded defiantly, asserting its stance on immigration enforcement.
Other artists, including Olivia Rodrigo and Kenny Loggins, have similarly objected to their music being co-opted for political messaging. Rodrigo criticized the Department of Homeland Security for using her song in a video promoting self-deportation, while Loggins sought removal of his song from an AI-generated video associated with Trump. Additionally, bands like MGMT and Blue yster Cult have taken action against the unauthorized use of their tracks in politically charged content.
While some artists remain vocal about these issues, others, like Taylor Swift, have not publicly addressed the use of their music in such contexts. This trend highlights the ongoing tension between artistic expression and political appropriation.
Stars On Ice Bronx Sport reviews
Exceeded expectations!
I've always loved watching competitions on TV but was afraid a live show might be a letdown. However, our seats were great so I could recognize all the performers and seeing them live gave even a better sense of their power. Everything about the show was professional in quality. My only dissatisfaction was that the number/scope of skaters seemed a bit limited. There were three ice dance couples, but no pairs, and no non-US skaters. Maybe there was some reason for that, but more variety would have made it even better.. Bottom line, even my husband who gets bored watching skating on TV was enthused about this show and wants to return next year.
